Ashlee’s Approach to Doula Work

AshLee’s empathetic nature has long inspired her interest in birth work and child development. With her early interest in zoology and the fascinating births that occur in that world led to her curiosity about birth and how the earliest moments in life impact how an amazing story unfolds. As she’s grown into an adult and parent she realizes how much support and tenderness in life's most vulnerable moments has a profound impact on life’s foundations. She has always been passionate about helping others and is eager to continue to do so as a birth doula.  

A very hands-on and information-forward individual, AshLee provides birthing folks and their partners a variety of coping mechanisms, comfort tools, and evidence based information. AshLee’s lived experience as a young mother sparked a desire to better advocate for, encourage, and support birthing people. AshLee aims to channel all of her life experiences toward being an advocate, educator, and guide as a doula. She values the importance of non judgement and supports all kinds of birth and believes there is not one right way to do it.

Ashlee’s Background

Born in Madras Oregon, AshLee spent much of her life in Florida and is now living in Hillsboro. In her spare time she enjoys furthering her doula education and training. Spending time with her two children, Athena and Kaspian, and her partner Keagan is the highlight of her days. Movie nights with fresh popcorn are a must, her family loves to watch anything Disney. Her two dogs Jasper and Oliver are the perfect way to get fresh air and get out in nature. When it's time to get cozy and relax at home she enjoys snuggles with her cats, Sophie and Daisy. She also enjoys tending to her house plants and making macrame art! 

AshLee looks forward to supporting birthing people and their families during their pregnancy, birth and postpartum adventures.
