Elliot’s Approach to Doula Work

Elliot is a THW-certified doula based in Portland, Oregon, who has always felt a strong calling to support pregnancy, birth, and early parenthood. He is honored to accompany families during such a meaningful and transformative time. As a trans man, Elliot is acutely aware of the underrepresentation and lack of service often experienced by queer people and their families in medical settings. His practice is dedicated to centering LGBT+ parents, offering care that is grounded in trauma-informed, non-judgmental support through a lens of reproductive justice. Elliot has successfully finished his foundational doula training with Cornerstone Doula Trainings and Mother Tree Birth. Elliot brings patience, calm, and genuine curiosity to every birth space. He is a steady listener, an advocate when necessary, and provides a gentle presence when quiet support is most beneficial.
