Kaleen’s Approach to Doula Work

Kaleen’s deeply empathetic and intuitive nature has continuously inspired her care for the families she’s served. Her work in early childhood care sparked an interest in birth work and supporting birthing people as they bring their children into the world. She firmly believes that every individual should have the birthing experience that they desire and understands that having a strong support system is vital.

Providing comfort, support, a grounding presence and an advocate to the birthing person and their partner is Kaleen’s goal is a doula. She supplies a variety of coping methods and comfort tools to suit each individual's needs and preferences so they move through the birth experience with confidence. Kaleen is excited to offer her support to families of all backgrounds.

Kaleen’s Background

Raised in central Florida, Kaleen is a self described “sunflower” who loves spending time outdoors, whether it be hiking, swimming or simply sitting in the sunshine. She is currently located in Portland. She loves music and singing, and initially went to school to pursue a degree in music. Kaleen is an avid reader and constantly has a book in her hand. She also enjoys snuggling her two sweet cats named Daisy and Maple.
