Lindsey’s Approach to Doula Work

home visitor with a variety of programs. In her work she was given the opportunity to walk alongside new parents which has taught her how vulnerable and strong birthing parents are. Her work created a desire to support birthing families. She sees her role as a doula to provide compassionate, inclusive care to all birthing people and families. Lindsey approaches each birth with deep respect for every person’s unique story, identity, and journey into parenthood.

For Lindsey, being invited into the birth space is an immense honor. Whether offering emotional reassurance, practical support, or a calm presence in the moment, she seeks to lift others up and remind them of their own strength and wisdom. Lindsey believes that birth is both sacred and transformative. It is one of the hardest and most meaningful experiences a person can have. It is her utmost joy to help create a sacred space for the birth, whether that be at home or in a hospital.

Her goal is simple: to nurture confidence, provide unwavering support, and honor the sacred transition that is birth in all its forms, for all kinds of families. One’s birthing story will be with them forever. She would be honored to be by your side and help preserve your birthing story.

Lindsey’s Background

Lindsey graduated from Seattle Pacific University with a degree in Sociology and a minor in Women’s Studies. With a passion for children and families, she has worked within programs of Head Start, The Relief Nursery, and Insights Teen Parent Services. These experiences provided her with continued education regarding child development, coping skills, grounding exercises, and trauma-informed care.

After completing the birth doula workshop through Doula Love, Lindsey completed their 6-month mentorship program. She has also completed Oregon and Washington State Doula Certification.

Lindsey lives in Portland, OR, with her 11-year-old dog. She finds joy in powerlifting, walks and snuggles with her dog, dancing and singing her heart out in any way she can, playing with her nephew, and soaking up all of the delicious gluten-free foods that Portland has to offer.
