Seattle Metro Birth Doula
Mia’s Approach to Doula Work
Long before Mia became a professional doula she was known in her community as a person to connect with during the exciting adventure of childbirth. She was inspired to become a Birth Doula after a series of unfortunate events at each of her own birth experiences. Each experience progressively left her feeling isolated and confused. Her husband although he wanted to be a better support person, he also felt overwhelmed by the task and lacked support. Mia had a variety of medical professionals who were at her births but none offered the consistent support and connection she longed for.
Mia has put all her efforts into becoming that person for other birthing families. She has a heavy focus on advocating for her clients to get all their questions answered and to be that unwavering support no matter what. Mia absolutely loves answering any and all questions and wants to keep open communication with her clients at all times. Mia has a background in Culinary and Nutrition. She has been “your friendly neighborhood doula” for 18 years, supporting birthing people and their families before, during and after birth.
