Zoe’s Approach to Doula Work

Zoe’s work as a birth and postpartum doula is fueled by her plentiful “auntie energy.” Her central goal when supporting any family is to support, empower, and validate the parents so they can do the same for their children. Zoe believes that whatever the babies need, the parents need as well, whether that be nourishment, rest, fresh air, someone to listen, or a good belly laugh. She is working toward certification through DONA International as a birth doula and postpartum doula and through the state of Oregon as a Traditional Health Worker (THW).

Zoe’s Background'

Zoe is California-born and raised but came to Portland via Albuquerque, NM, where she lived for several years. She has been a college literacy educator for the past 10 years and finds incredible joy supporting students work toward their goals. In her free time, she loves to play with her rambunctious puppy, read and watch British mysteries, garden, and drink tea with friends.
