Lauren’s Approach to Doula Work

Lauren's greatest desire since childhood has been motherhood. Lauren's love of children led her to complete a Masters Degree in Early Childhood Education specializing in the development and psychology of children ages birth - 6 years old. She has found so much joy in supporting little ones as a Montessori Teacher, and finds deep joy holding space for the sacred creation of families as a doula. Lauren found Doula Love and after completing her training and graduated the Doula Love 6-month mentorship intensive.

Lauren’s Background

Lauren believes parenting starts before birth. Preparing for your babies' birth is a sacred process that should be celebrated and given the energy and attention it deserves in our fast-paced world. Lauren is an advocate of holistic health and healing practices that support mama and papa throughout the prenatal and postpartum journey. Lauren is your consistent, continuous presence throughout your labor, helping you navigate the unknowns, twists, and turns of labor, as your body intuitively guides you in the process.

Nourishment, rest, and care are such important parts of the postpartum healing process. Lauren loves caring for clients postpartum and offers a customized postpartum visit for all of her clients. This can include warming snacks, an herbal foot soak, and space to process your unique birth story.

The Birth and Postpartum transitions can trigger fear, worry, confusion, and uncertainty about what is happening inside of your body. Lauren's goal as your doula is to provide a safe, compassionate, and informative space where you and your loved ones can ask questions without judgment and feel supported in your unique birth story.
